Have a Happy New Year to all of our social media friends. I feel lucky to call all of you as my dear friends as I met probably to you in our Social Media journey. I met you either on Twitter, Facebook or down in the road on FourSquare…

But what happens when your social media friends become your real friends? If you have a chance to meet them in-person, you will see; there were no handshakes, just hugs. But what is the difference between a social media friend and an IRL friend, and how do you bridge that gap?

I like that post and want to share with you, anyways here we are; at the last very day of 2010. Another year just passed, and we are tired of following hours, days and months but once we realize its just not another year, but our lives is passing by than we are more careful about every minute of it. At that point we start with our New Year’s resolutions. But do we know about this fact -

New Year’s Resolution Success Study – Recent research shows that while 52% of participants in a resolution study were confident of success with their goals, only 12% actually achieved their goals. Men achieved their goal 22% more often when they engaged in goal setting, while women succeeded 10% more when they made their goals public and got support from their friends.

As you can tell that, sharing makes the difference in womans success, because we love social media, we love sharing our goals with our friends. But don’t forget, New Year’s resolutions people make and then after about ten days, are completely forgotten. Larry Winget has a nice post about this :)
